Before joining Applegate & Dillman Elder Law as an Elder Care Coordinator, Diane worked as an RN. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Akron in Akron, OH.
She has held positions in various healthcare leadership roles in clinical, academic, and community settings. Some of her roles have included the Director of Clinical Placement and Coordination (IU School of Nursing), Assistant Professor of Nursing (Marian University), Clinical Educator (Community Health Network), Public Health Coordinator (National Kidney Foundation of Indiana), and Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN in hospital settings.
Diane enjoys working with older adults and their families, and brings her strengths and experience as a collaborator and coordinator in healthcare and community settings to this role. As Elder Care Coordinator, she works closely with clients and families as a part of Applegate’s holistic, team approach to assess care needs, coordinate services, and provide education, support, and advocacy.
She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (International Nursing Honor Society) and American Psychiatric Nurse’s Association (APNA); past memberships include the Association for Nursing Professional Development, National League for Nursing, Indiana League for Nursing, and American Nephrology Nurses Association.
Diane has three grown children and two delightful granddaughters with her husband Chuck . The highlights in her life are the times spent with family, and she also enjoys traveling and playing the piano. She is very grateful for the faith, family, and friends that continue to be very important parts of her life.
