A recent breach of security at Anthem Inc., an Indianapolis-based company, put millions of their current and former customers at risk. The health insurer announced late Wednesday that they were the target of a sophisticated cyber-attack dating back to December 10 but not discovered until January 27. The information compromised includes names, birthdates, Social Security numbers, street and email addresses and employee data, including income. Anthem has set up a web page dedicated to helping their customers and is also sending out personal letters. Current and former customers also can call (877) 263¬-7995 for more information. Sometimes our elder citizens are the most vulnerable for these type of attacks and might need help sorting through their records to see if someone has stolen their identity.
