Maria serves as Applegate & Dillman’s Director of Firm Growth & Development. She is responsible for ensuring the firm’s external and internal growth strategies are aligned, and has a passion for seeking out new business opportunities for the firm.

Maria graduated from Indiana University Bloomington, where she majored in English Literature and Creative Writing and minored in Business. After graduating, she was awarded a Fulbright grant, and spent the next year living in rural Indonesia, serving as a U.S. ambassador and teaching English as a second language. Maria was born and raised on the southside of Indianapolis.

When asked what she loves most about being on the Applegate & Dillman team, Maria says she loves that we have a different, holistic approach to Elder Law and that the business is a product of strong, smart and determined women.

After clients meet with members of the Applegate & Dillman Team, it is especially important to Maria that the clients feel empowered, and that they have more clarity on the aging process and how to care for their aging loved ones. Outside of the office, you can find Maria cooking or binge reading Historical Fiction. Maria also enjoys planning adventurous trips for her family of three, husband Curtis and Daughter Vera. Next time you see Maria, be sure you ask where she is headed

Maria’s Client Service Motto:  “I want our clients to know that we have considered all of their potential circumstances, and with careful planning, we can bring their family peace of mind when it comes to an uncertain future. At the end of the day, I want families to feel taken care of.”
